Geodesy

It was introduced in 2021 as part of the professional skills Championship based on the methodology of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom – AtomSkills." The Geodesy competence is aimed at creating a professional growth environment in which participants demonstrate and improve their knowledge and skills in using modern equipment in geodetic work at various stages of design and construction, as well as in performing works on geodetic support for construction and geodetic observations performed to ensure the safety of buildings and structures throughout their entire life cycle. of the cycle.

Team work

Competence Team

Work on the Geodesy competence is a team activity.
The contest task is performed by the team and the score is given to the team.

Team composition

2 participants + 1 expert

Expert team
  1. Expert Advisor
List of participants
  1. Structural Engineering Engineer
  2. Engineer for the design of electrical installations and systems
  3. Pipeline System Design Engineer
  4. Specialist in information modeling

Completing and evaluating a task

Team members complete a technical task:

22 hours
=
  • 4 days.

Students are trained in verification methods and tools.
Evaluation of results is conducted by experts at the end of each competition day (or on the next competition day).

Competitive task

Composition of the competition task

The main concept is to test the practical and theoretical skills of a team of surveyor engineers who perform work on the sites of nuclear power facilities under design and construction

  • Module A, B
    Control of the geodetic reference base transmitted by the Customer (performing linear-angular measurements, desk processing);
  • Module C, D
    Control of the geodetic reference base transmitted by the Customer (altitude measurements, camera processing of geometric leveling);
  • Module E
    Real-time display of the main axes of the projected building;
  • Module F
    Topographic survey of the construction site, taking out the projected points in full view;
  • Module G
    Technical relay race;
  • Module H
    On-site processing of measurement results, preparation of an explanatory note.

Evaluation

Checking the level

Each specialist is tested for the level of proficiency in modern equipment and the ability to process the received data

Qualification of participants

Engineers and bachelors in geodesy and cartography, land management and cadastre, as well as industrial and civil engineering are allowed to participate in the competition. Also, students of higher professional institutions, colleges and technical schools who are studying in the specialty "Geodesy" and related fields are allowed to participate.

Qualification of experts

Experts should understand the field and theoretical part of the specifics of the Geodesy competence and use application software to check the compliance of the results of practical and desk tasks with the evaluated criteria, as objectively, impartially and promptly as possible, according to the assessment scheme.

Evaluating skills

Skills are evaluated through the quality and effectiveness of work actions.

At the competitions, participants demonstrate and experts and fellow students evaluate their geodesy competencies according to the specified assessment criteria. The rating is given to the team.

Knowledge testing is carried out by evaluating the performance of practical work and exclusively through the performance of a Competitive task. Separate theoretical tests are not provided.

Ad platform rules
